Glasgow Airport is just less than 7 miles from Glasgow itself and it is the second busiest airport in Scotland. There are currently plans for further expansion at the airport and it currently handles more than 8 million passengers a year. Passengers can fly to more than 90 worldwide destinations both long and short haul. Glasgow currently has only one terminal and one runway; it is a hub for many of the airlines in the UK including Thomas Cook Airlines, Loganair and EasyJet. There are Help Points dotted around the airport for those with disabilities who require extra assistance. There are desks with broadband-connected PCs available in all areas of the terminal, before and after security.

You will find that Glasgow Airport has cash machines (ATM’s) available for both before and after the security controls. The machines accept all major credit cards and are also affiliated to Link. There are also two currency exchange companies at Glasgow, with over 50 currencies and travelers cheques available from the American Express booth or at the Travelex, currency exchange is available at 0% commission and on a pre order basis.

There is a wide range of shops available at the airport. There are fashion shops, duty free outlets, book shops and shops selling travel essentials.

Eating:

The airport has a good selection of places to eat from coffee shops to bars and cafes, there are children friendly restaurants and adult bars. You can take your breakfast as early as 04.30 am and have a late night drink and snack up until all departed flights have left the airport.

Business:
